  4. Do I have to need assistance with something before I can enjoy an Assisted Living community?
Absolutely not! Some residents living at The Willows at Meadow Branch are independent and may require very little or no physical assistance or supervision. These residents enjoy a carefree lifestyle without the concerns of meal preparation, housecleaning, laundry, etc. They also have the peace of mind of knowing that nursing assistance is always available should they need it. And, with a full monthly calendar of trips and activities, these residents enjoy the stimulating recreation, companionship and care they receive from their neighbors--a considerable social advantage in comparison to living alone.

  5. How does an Assisted Living residence differ from a nursing home?
A nursing home is for someone who has the continuing need for 24-hour skilled nursing care--such as ventilator dependency, nasogastric tubes or intravenous therapy or injections directly into the vein.

The Willows at Meadow Branch assisted living community has a nursing staff consisting of RNs, LPNs and CNAs who are trained to offer personal care assistance and to provide minor medical care for those residents with ongoing illnesses, such as congestive heart failure, diabetes and lasting affects from a stroke.
