At The Willows at Meadow Branch, a full-time Activities Director is
dedicated to incorporating the needs and interests of each resident
into the planning and implementation of social, recreational and
educational activities, both inside and outside of the community. A
carefully planned calendar of events contains activities such as
pottery, morning stretchersize, hymn sings, gardening, picnics, parties
and regular trips to local ice cream shops (always a community
favorite).
The Shenandoah Valley is widely known for the abundance of apple
orchards that grace the landscape. In keeping with this rich festive
tradition, The Willows at Meadow Branch has designed a casual apple
motif café, which provides a fun place to visit with family and friends
for coffee, cider, snacks and conversation. The Apple Blossom Festival,
a 75-year-old Winchester tradition, is an annual highlight for our
residents.
And for day trips away from the community, The Willows at Meadow
Branch's mini-bus (with an easy-boarding wheelchair lift) provides
comfortable and safe transportation for scheduled shopping trips,
theatre outings and other regularly planned excursions.
